Structure:

  • Sturdy single pole. Ten-foot long steel support structures are provided with units requiring up to four solar panels. All necessary hardware, wire, and conduit are provided with each system. Theft resistant hardware is provided for all mechanical connections. The support structure is designed for easy field assembly and installation. Heavy gauge steel enclosures with hinged lids and sturdy lock hasps are provided for battery box and regulator.

Solar Panels:

  • Efficient solar cells deliver superior watts per square foot of module surface area compared to competitive products. Reduced solar array area results in significant system cost savings.
  • Each solar cell is manufactured with a unique and proprietary bypass diode function that prevents power loss and undesirable heat generation if a module is temporarily shaded.
  • Crystalline solar cells, low iron, tempered glass front surface, EVA / Tedlar laminate, anodized aluminum frame.

Battery:

  • NiCad batteries, manufactured to stringent quality standards in facilities certified to ISO 9001, rank among the highest quality batteries available from any manufacturer anywhere in the world.
  • Extremely long life of 25 years plus, exceptional reliability, wide operating temperature range of -40ºF to 140ºF, excellent cycling capability, exceptional resistance to shock and vibration.
  • Very simple maintenance with no specific gravity checks, visible electrolyte levels.
  • 48 hours of NiCad battery autonomy or 100 hours of lead-acid autonomy supplied standard with REN units.
  • Standard lead-acid batteries are absorbed electrolyte type designed for solar application and carry a five-year warranty. Other battery types are also available.
  • Battery voltage matches or exceeds voltage rating of the power supply.
  • REN (Reduced Energy at Night) units are available in most sizes. Six-volt units are standard with output to 60 watts. Twelve-volt units are standard with output to 120 watts.
  • CVO (Constant Voltage Output) units are available in 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 or 24-volt configurations with up to 20 amps of output current.
